Holiday Inn Resort Phi Phi Island is located on the isolated sandy shores of Phi Phi Island. Steps from the crystal blue Andaman Sea, the resort provides buggy services as the villas are spread across the beachfront.
The resort provides two distinct types of accommodation with the choice of a bungalow or a contemporary style studio. Facilities also include; Kids club, free WiFi throughout the resort, two outdoor swimming pools (one of which exclusively offered to relaxing adults only), a boutique shop, a mini-gym, a spa, a diving centre and a variety of non-motorised water sport activities available through the excursions desk.
As the resort is located in an remote spot on the northern shores of Phi Phi Don, a stay here accommodates for various types of travellers, the obvious being a tranquil and peaceful stay on the uninterrupted shores of the resort – or you are able to indulge in the resorts various excursions to explore the rest of the Phi Phi Islands.
Holiday Inn Resort Phi Phi offers its guests various private trips either by speedboat or longtail boat. There are many different excursions, all with different duration times. After making your way to the excursion desk, the driver loads up the boat with an esky full of drinking water, snorkelling gear and beach towels. More often than not the first stop is Maya Bay in order to avoid crowds.
Other places that you are able to visit include;
- Bamboo Island
- Mosquito Island
- Monkey Beach
- Viking Cave
- Maya Bay
- Tonsai
- Phi Leh Bay
- Loh Sama Bay
My recommendation would be to take the day on a longboat excursion – despite the risk of sea-sickness, you are able to get an idea of the real Phi Phi Island experience. The journeys between each stop take a bit longer than they would on a speedboat but you have enough time to experience each destination.
For dining options, there are two bars and three restaurants serving Thai and international cuisine. For an intimate dinner, you are able to dine upon the sand with views of the ocean.
