❤️ PROS & CONS of living abroad 💔
📍 [ save this post if you’re thinking of moving abroad! ]
Last year I moved to Queenstown NZ for work & for life experience, and I never knew then that this would be the start of my life abroad! While this has been one of the most incredible journeys of my life, let me tell you a little bit more about what you might expect;
❤️ FREEDOM & INDEPENDENCE - stepping away from the norm and seeing the world for yourself is the ultimate example of freedom. You’re able to make any and all decisions for yourself!
❤️ PERSONAL GROWTH & CLARITY - exploring new cultures, perspectives and experiences help you to better understand what it is you want in life and who you want to be.
❤️ ADAPTABILITY - one of the key things you learn when living abroad is the ability to adapt to change. Nothing is ever constant, and living abroad is one way to quickly become more comfortable with that fact.
💔 FOMO - you can’t be around for everything. You’ll miss your friends, and your family.
💔 UNCERTAINTY - It can be a difficult concept to grasp that you might not know where your future is leading. Living abroad brings a lot of uncertainty and unfamiliarity.
💔 FEELING ALONE - whether you move overseas solo or not, the feeling of being alone comes along no matter where you are in life.

🌎 Things I’ve learnt from Living Abroad pt2 🧳
Last year I moved to Queenstown NZ for work/life experience, aaaand I’ve never been home since! Here’s a few of the things that I’ve learnt along the way…
❌ Not every decision will always be the right one, or the right path - but it’s better to try than wondering “what if”
🌊 To go with the flow - things are ever-changing
🚪 Sometimes you’ll feel like an outsider
🧍🏼♀️ How to be comfortable alone
🥐 “Culture shock” can be the smallest things that just differ from what you’re used to
🪂 Spontaneity will often lead to the most incredible experiences
📱 That I am privileged to have a family that would always help me if I really needed it
🎁 Random little gifts & postcards go a long way to remind the people you care about that you haven’t forgotten them
💼 Living life minimally
⏰ Money returns, time doesn’t
💎 Greater clarity for the life I want to lead and the future that I want
